Ferrochromium alloy significantly dropped this week because of weak market demand, and reduction of steel mill purchasing and other factors,. The current market remains sluggish, with few transactions, and most traders are pessimistic for market outlook.

      A ferrochrome producer in Hunan province said, "we are mainly producing according to the order, and there are basically no new enquiries." He also said that ferrochromium market future is not optimistic, and the price is probable to decline again, but production costs went up because of the rise of electricity price, so the pressure is great.

     An ferrochrome plant officer in Shanxi province said, ferrochrome price in June and July are pessimistic. In his view, according to the current market, "high-carbon ferrochrome prices will drop again, and mainstream price will be lower than 8,500 yuan, and it’s even possible to fall below 8,000 yuan"
