Recently, the vanadium market at home is still not stabilized and there is still no sign of peace. Sales have to be lower as demand is not enough and stock pressure is great. According to demand at the moment, lower price can hardly stimulate the transaction. The main reason is still the weakness of steel mills. As some producers adjust the production according to the marketing, large volume of procurement can hardly be done. The raw material remains weak.
The mainstream price for 98% v2o5 flakes is at Yuan 52000-54000/ton, 98 v2o5 powder is at Yuan 55000-57000/ton and ammonium metavanadate Yuan 52000-54000/ton at the moment. The price for ammonium metavanadate stays low. Few purchases makes inventory difficult to digest. Many producers are passive in offering v2o5 powder except those who need cash urgently. The pressure from the raw material market cannot ease in a short period of time.
The ferrovanadium market is facing the same embarrassment. Except for few orders, most producers are not making enough sales. Some complain that the market is beaten down by steelmakers. The mainstream assessment for ferrovanadium is at Yuan 62000-64000/ton. By the actual transaction is closing to Yuan 62000-63000/ton. Though different producers have different sales strategies, all of them hold pessimistic attitude toward the near future. Some of them choose to wait, others choose to offer selectively to ease the pressure. The ferrovanadium market does not have positive factors of support in near future.
Vanadium nitrogen alloy are shouldering relative heavy burden. Though the falling price of v2o5 flakes lightens some burden, but the falling price of vanadium nitrogen alloy evens the former effect. Many producers are complaining financial difficulty. The mainstream assessment of vanadium nitrogen alloy is at Yuan 91000-94000/ton. The tender level from steel mills is at Yuan 91000-93000/ton. The vanadium nitrogen alloy market is coming back to the previous low point. Though falling offers from producers are decelerating, the vanadium nitrogen alloy market still needs support in near future. |
