At present SiMn market generally in correction, and price in north area is stable, but strong. SiMn mainstream price kept at 8400-8500yuan/ton. While in southern area, the situation is worrisome, with a slight drop of 200yuan/ton. Its mainstream price is 8100-8300yuan/ton, and some is as low as 8000yuan/ton.

The producers in the five provinces in southwest has not start to work yet. The market is weak and manganese import price was kept high, so producers are cautious to start to work. The market is thin and it’s difficult for the purchase of steel mill to push market demand significantly, so SiMn market can only develop with difficulty.
