The current price of molybdenum concentrate is 2250-2300 yuan / ton, and the majority of market transaction tend to go to the low side. In Luanchuan area, price excluding tax price is 1950 yuan / mt, with a small amount of tansactions.
According to a broker, molybdenum concentrate transaction volume is scarce in Luanchuan area recently. Companies intending to purchase is rare, and most of them are waiting to see. Another broker said that he intend to ship out about 10 tons of molybdenum Concentrates at 1950 yuan / mt degrees(not including tax). A mining enterprise in Inner Mongolia region said, it shipped out 150 tons of molybdenum concentrate yesterday at 2250-2260 yuan / mt, grade of 42-43%. However, it’s difficult to trade at that price today, so people are mainly waiting and seeing without ship out. A mining enterprises in Jilin said, they offer 2,280 yuan / mt, but no company placed orders, and they think it is difficult to conclude transactions, so they intended to lower shipping prices. A mining enterprise in Shaanxi province said somebody intended to accumulate supply and bid 2,230 yuan /mt yesterday but the enterprise did not ship. However, according current market situation, prices are likely to fall. According to major mines and intermediaries situation, it can be seen that molybdenum concentrate transaction are scarce, and it’s difficult for some mining enterprises to ship out, so the market is probable to drop.
